Results in the early hours of July 5th confirmed that Gideon Amos had been elected as the Member of Parliament for Taunton and Wellington, receiving 24,331 votes and a majority of 11,939.
In doing so he unseated the Conservative candidate Rebecca Pow, who had represented the former constituency of Taunton Deane for 9 years. Full results are shown below.
