The new MP for Taunton and Wellington, Gideon Amos, carried out his first official engagement on Saturday morning.
He opened the Somerset Armed Forces Day event, which took place in Taunton’s Vivary Park.
It was particularly appropriate because Gideon volunteers as a helper/instructor with Somerset Army Cadet Force and was previously a member of the Territorial Army.
The free event attracts thousands of people and features a huge range of displays, stands and activities with a flypast by the iconic Red Arrows.
